This talk will be on submarine slides and their evolution and structure and an interpretive view from geophysical data. At the beginning of the presentation, trigger mechanisms for slides are shown and explained. The major part of the talk comprises presentation and discussion of geological and morphological features observed within different types of geophysical survey data. Key features for the detection and interpretation of the MTC will be explained. Examples presented comprise geophysical data from the Norwegian Sea, the Mediterranean, the Caspian and the Middle East, acquired during route and site surveys.
