Director of Publishing

The Geological Society is a leading independent publisher of Earth sciences research, producing journals and books under its own title, in partnership with others and on behalf of others. It also operates a nationally and internationally recognised library from its offices at Burlington House, London.

We are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record to work with staff in leading the Society’s scholarly publishing programme and library, in so doing strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partner organisations in the UK and internationally.

This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable professional with real ambition to join the Society’s Senior Leadership Team and contribute to the successful delivery of the Society’s 2017-27 strategy. You will be guaranteed a challenging and rewarding experience within an internationally renowned and respected organisation.

You will work with a team of highly committed and skilled staff and a Council of trustees, who will support you in leading and developing the Society’s publishing business and library to underpin future success.
