Sales Executive

Reports to: Head of Sales & Marketing
Salary: c. £26,000
Contract: One year fixed term, full time
Location: Bath (hybrid which includes a mixture of office based working and home working)

Purpose of the role

A rare opportunity has opened up at the Bath-based publishing offices of the Geological Society of London, a highly regarded learned and professional society. The Publishing House is looking for a Sales Executive to join their small, professional sales and marketing team. The main responsibilities of the role are to develop a sustainable pipeline of new prospects in the corporate sector and increase sales of single site, multi-site and global subscriptions to maximise revenue. In addition, the Sales Executive will also contribute to institutional sales of transformative read and publish (Open Access) agreements.

Role: Production Editor
Reports to: Senior Production Editor
Salary: c. £27,500
Contract: Permanent, full time
Location: Society’s Bath office (hybrid - fully remote working is a possibility)

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a Production Editor to join our small, friendly Production team that values innovation and quality. Reporting to the Senior Production Editor, the main responsibility of the role is to manage the production of specified book titles from our well-regarded books’ list.

The objective of the role is to ensure publication on time, to cost, to the satisfaction of Editors and authors and to specified quality criteria.
