Ask a geologist to visit your school
How to request a visit:
If you are a primary or secondary school teacher you can request a Geological Society STEM Ambassador by following these three simple steps:
The first step is filling in the form on the STEM Learning website. You will then be able to log in and request a school visit.
Register on the STEM Learning website
This alerts ambassadors in your area to your request, including what topic(s) you would like to be covered (the rock cycle, fossils, volcanoes, plate tectonics, geoscience careers etc.)
School Affiliates receive regular updates on education resources and support (for science and geography teachers as well as geologists), plus a free copy of our monthly Geoscientist magazine.
What is a STEM Ambassador?
Geological Society STEM Ambassadors are positive role models available to give geoscience subject talks, workshops, careers information and other support to interested schools.
Ambassadors receive training by STEM Learning and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks before visiting schools.
