How you can help

You can help us to secure our internationally-recognised home in the following ways:

1. Write to your MP

You can write to your local MP to ask for their support to help the Society stay at Burlington House.

After going public with the campaign earlier this year, we have gained a broad range of support inside and outside Parliament. A Westminster Hall Debate will take place 4.50-5.50pm on Tuesday 8th June in an attempt to find a lasting solution to stay at Burlington House and we encourage our supporters to ask their local Member of Parliament to attend.
This is a great opportunity to present our case and evidence to the Minister, and to highlight the public value at risk if relocation takes place.

Guidance and supporting text are available below for you to tailor and use. If you don’t know who your MP is, you can find out along with their email address here.

2. Raise awareness on social media

You can help to get the message out by using the hashtag #BurlingtonHouse on social media channels.

There are free-to-use images available here including Burlington House, our events and activities held there, and items from our library and archive.

Alternatively, use the buttons above to share this page directly.

3. Share your Society story and submit a testimonial to be published on our website

We would love to hear your stories of how the Society has supported your understanding of our Earth, whether through research, professional training, educational resources or public events. Email us your testimonial on what the Society means to you, and why you believe it should remain at Burlington House.
