The Scottish Ground Engineering Group (SGEG) of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Central Scotland Regional Group (CSRG) of the Geological Society of London are jointly hosting a poster competition in geotechnical engineering and engineering geology. Entry is open to ground engineering professionals, including research students.

Please note that we are restricting the number of entrants to 12. In the event that more than 12 entries are received, the organisers will select the entries which will receive places in the competition to provide a fair representation of the industry.
Confirmation of places in the competition will be sent by Wednesday 13 November 2019. The organisers’ decision is final. Details on the competition format, including poster sizes, presentation requirements and scoring will be given to the participants once all places have been confirmed.
Programme
5.30pm: General viewing of posters with sandwiches, refreshments and wine served (entrants will explain posters to judges during this period)
6.30pm: Individual presentation of shortlisted posters
7.30pm: Technical presentation - PISA Method for Offshore Wind Turbine Monopiles
7.45pm: Announcement of winner and prize giving
8.00pm: Event close
