Namibia is amongst the driest countries in Africa, with approximately 50% of its water supply depending on groundwater. Quality and quantity of this important resource are thus important input criteria for any water management plans in the country.
In this hydrogeological journey, we are going to stop at several locations, including the Cuvelai-Etosha Basin and the
Namib Desert, to discuss methodologies applied and resulting research findings, underlain by some Namibian landscape impressions.
The lecture will begin at 5.00pm BST.
