Professor Cynthia Burek joins us to celebrate our local geology as part of Earth Science Week with a walk around Chester for a light hearted view of building stones, social implications and a trip into Chester Cathedral to see some Triassic sedimentary structures in the north aisle. The new theatre in Chester will also feature as well as a walk along the Roman and Medieval walls. At the end of the tour is an optional additional short tour of geology in Overleigh Cemetery (leaflet for this section is available to purchase for 50p).
