Early Career Researchers Prominent Lecture Program

The Geochemistry Group welcomes applications from all Early Career Researchers (ECR’s) registered at universities or research institutions within Great Britain or Ireland for the ECR Prominent Lecture Program, sponsored by Agilent Technologies. The award is open to any researchers who hold a PhD and are currently based at an eligible institution without a permanent contract.

The program aims to promote the work of Early Career Researchers working within the remits of the Geochemistry Group by fully funding a series of lectures within Great Britain or Ireland. One ECR is selected for the program each year based on a combination of their research contributions to the field and their ability to communicate their findings to a broad audience.

Once the ECR candidate has been chosen and announced, eligible institutions will be invited to apply to host the seminar within the allocated year of the award.

Successful applicants will also be invited to give a keynote lecture at the Geochemistry Group’s annual Research in Progress (GGRiP) meeting.

For a full list of eligibility requirements and other information about this award please see the appendix in the application form below.

Applications should be made using the application form, which should be sent with a covering letter that clearly states why they deserve the award to the Geochemistry Group’s secretary, milletm@cardiff.ac.uk.

There is one application round per year, with a submission deadline of 15 January.
