Cadman’s grave has also been restored and a dedication service, in the presence of 14 “Cadmen” - members of the family – was held on 5 December 2010. John Cadman came from a family of mining engineers, and became an authority on petroleum in World War 1, and advised the British Government. In 1921 he was appointed Technical Adviser to the Anglo-Persian Oil Company (later to become part of BP).
