Lepidotus fittoni Agassiz

Lepidotus Fittoni
Heeding George Bellas Greenough's call for specimens, Fellow Peter Martin Duncan sent two fossils of the fish Lepidotus Fittoni from his collection to the Society on 20 June 1834. This watercolour is of one of them (LDGSL/613/2/78/1). It was drawn by Agassiz's principal artist Joseph Dinkel probably in the rooms of the Society at Somerset House the same year.
