Benefits of becoming a Friend of The Geological Society
The Friends of The Geological Society of London (GSL) scheme is open to all amateur, non-professional geologists. It was launched following the Shell London Lecture series which stimulated many people to ask how they could support the Society and find out more about the exciting work being done by geologists to address the intellectual and practical challenges of the twenty-first century. The scheme is for those who do not hold a formal qualification in Geology or a related subject, and do not otherwise qualify for Fellowship (this includes those who have been Fellows in the past).

How much does it cost?
Joining as a Friend costs £35 for a calender year with a discounted rate for joiners from 1 May. We encourage payment by direct debit to simplify renewals and keep our administrative costs to a minimum.- Download the application form (.pdf1331 Kb)
