The TSG Annual Meeting, which has run each year since 1970, is the UK's premier research-in-progress meeting concerned with all aspects of Structural Geology and Tectonics.  As in previous years, we expect a strong turn-out from research students and early career structural and tectonic geologists together with established researchers and practitioners in industry.

Technical Programme and information for presenters

A provisional PDF programme with information for oral and poster presenters can be downloaded below.

Registration

Pre-registration for this meeting is now closed.

If you wish to attend this meeting, you will now need to register on-site.  On-site registration will be subject to availability and no catering will be provided for you.

Conference dinner

At the Macdonald Holyrood Hotel.  Space is limited and will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Accommodation

We have reserved rooms at discounted rates at the nearby Macdonald Holyrood Hotel.

Note that the weekend following TSG is the International Cross-Country event (BUPA Great Edinburgh Cross-Country Race) - held in Holyrood Park.  The event itself is free for spectators and highly recommended for athletic fans (in 2011 won by Mo Farah).  But it means hotels in and around Dynamic Earth are likely to become booked up very early for the Friday night and over the weekend.

Conference venue

The TSG Annual Meeting will be held at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.

Our Dynamic Earth lies in the "Old Town", one block off the bottom of the Royal Mile, adjacent to the Scottish Parliament and at the foot of Salisbury Crags.  There are abundant eating and drinking options nearby.  The venue is approximately 10 minutes walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station (the main station of Edinburgh).

The oral presentations will take place in the 300-seat Biosphere suite - a purpose built conference auditorium.  Poster and catering will be in the dramatic exhibition area called the Stratosphere.

Information on the venue is available from the Dynamic Earth website.
