An evening learning about the fossils of South East England, with particular reference to those from the Lower Cretaceous to be found in the Hastings area.

Speaker

Ken Brooks, Hastings & District Geological Society

Ken qualified as a schoolteacher. His studies in earth sciences with the Open University led to the post of adult tutor for the University of Sussex. In 1992 he founded the Hastings and District Geological Society and a few years later was awarded the Halstead Medal by the Geologists' Association for promoting local geology.

In response to requests from Hastings Country Park, he produced the book Geology and Fossils of the Hastings Area, which is now in its 2nd edition.
