The course draws on 2013 and 2014 publications and conferences to present the topic of advanced tailings management in a unique format. Specifically, the course is divided into major sections that each deal with the production, transport, distribution, and management of tailings. The major sections include consideration of the total life-cycle management of: (a) conventional tailings; (b) thickened and paste tailings; and (c) filtered tailings.
