What is a Founding Member Patron?
In 1807, thirteen founders established the Geological Society and created a legacy that continues to benefit the world today. Inspired by their vision, we are inviting 13 Founding Member Patrons to help unlock a transformative programme of investment in the Society's future.
Commitment: £20,000 or more.
Founding Member Patrons will:
- Help secure the future of the Geological Society's home.
- Support the refurbishment of the Lecture Theatre.
- Enable improvements in accessibility and sustainability.
- Be recognised as part of a defining moment in the Society's history.
Be a part of the story for generations to come
Founding Member Patrons will become part of the permanent story of this project, with recognition including a special installation, invitations to exclusive events and participation in the reopening of the refurbished Lecture Theatre.
A lasting record:
Supporters who wish to be recognised will be recorded in a commemorative Book of Benefactors, created to mark the refurbishment of the Lecture Theatre and preserved within the Society's collections as a permanent record of those whose generosity helped secure its future.
