Open access publishing and read access to the Lyell Collection
A Read and Publish agreement with the Geological Society brings access to journal and book content together with open access publishing for eligible authors. Researchers at participating institutions can access content in the Lyell Collection, while eligible authors can publish open access with no Article Processing Charge (APC) to pay at the point of use.

What is a Read & Publish agreement?
A Read and Publish agreement combines access to content from the Geological Society with open access publishing for eligible authors through one simplified institutional agreement. Researchers at participating institutions can access journal and book content, while eligible authors can publish their research open access without an APC to pay at the point of use.
What journals and books are covered in a Read and Publish agreement?
All journals and book series published by the Geological Society are included within our Read and Publish agreements, giving eligible authors a straightforward route to open access publishing.
