The Western Regional Group is pleased to welcome Vicky Corcoran and Christopher Cox of AtkinsRéalis to discuss the B4069 road in Wiltshire, England, which has been affected by ground movements due to periglacial deposits beneath and around it for many decades. This movement typically caused cracking of the road surface which was managed by resurfacing and occasional remediation in the form of drainage and carriageway reconstruction. In February 2022, a section of the road experienced a substantial landslide, leading to its closure. This presentation will describe the work that was undertaken to remediate the 2022 landslide and restore the B4069.
This is a hybrid event open to all, including non-members. Click on the Book Now button above to access the Zoom link, if you plan to attend online. Alternatively, the doors of the venue will open at 18:00 hrs.
