The Western Regional Group is pleased to welcome Ed Crimp of Geotechnical Engineering Limited who will report on the construction of large observation pits to observe relict shear surfaces as part of a comprehensive ground investigation undertaken in 2025 for the proposed Broad Oak Reservoir in Kent. Ed will discuss the geology and Quaternary events that have influenced near surface ground conditions at the site. He will also report on the challenges of presenting the resulting data, which extend beyond the confines of a standard trial pit log.
The in-person room opens at 6.30pm whilst the online Zoom room opens at 6.15pm BST
Non-members are welcome.
There is no need to book in-person attendance. For those attending online, please click on the Book Now button for the Zoom link.
