Careers Day 2026 - Wednesday 4 November
We are delighted to announce that our 2026 Careers Day will be held at Burlington House in the heart of London's Piccadilly.
Join us on Wednesday 4 November for a day full of opportunity for geoscience students, including information about the latest career developments and exciting opportunities.
This is a hybrid event. Students can watch the live stream of talks remotely, or come along in person to meet exhibitors, sponsors and speakers.

What's on offer Careers Day?
The day will include presentations from a wide array of early career industry professionals showcasing the pathways available to graduates. Helping you to understand what’s on offer and find the one that fits you!
There will also be an opportunity to meet industry professionals, ask questions, get advice and see what is possible with a degree in the geosciences.
Get expert tips on how to structure your CV, highlighting your strengths, and tailor applications for different roles. Learn what employers are looking for and how to avoid common mistakes at our CV workshop!

Careers Day 2025
Our 2025 event took place on 5 November and focussed on our five Scientific Themes, with speakers from both academia and industry covering topics including:

It was a fantastic opportunity for geoscience students to learn all about the latest career developments and exciting opportunities.
The day included presentations covering the varied areas of geology and academia as well as an opportunity to meet industry professionals for interview, CV, networking and job placement advice.
