Access for other membership types

Please note: If you are also a member of the Geological Society of London your access for other membership types should now be connected to your GSL member login. Please see the GSL Members Access page for more information. If you cannot view the relevant content please contact us.

To access the Lyell Collection please ensure you are using the latest browser version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.

1)  Activate your member access

For members who were registered previous to 26 July 2022:

On 27 July 2022 the login system for the Lyell Collection changed to CONNECT.
Please register on the Lyell Collection website using the same email address* you used before 27 July for the Lyell Collection website. 
Click "Log In | Register", then "Individual Login | Register" and then "Sign up"**. 
Enter your name, the email address used previously and create your own password. Click "Continue" and then enter the verification code sent to you by email.
If you already have a CONNECT login with the same email address then please login with your CONNECT password.

**The options to sign in with ORCID, Google, Microsoft, Apple and Twitter credentials are available, but this will not provide access to content.

*If you have not previously registered an email address with us (or your email address has changed) then please email us with your name, membership type, membership number number and your preferred email address.

For new members from 27 July 2022:
The Lyell Collection site host will email an access activation email to you when your entitlements have been uploaded by us. Please follow the instructions in the email to register with CONNECT and link the access record to your email address. If you already have a CONNECT login which uses the same email address then please login with your CONNECT password.

The options to sign in with ORCID, Google, Microsoft, Apple and Twitter credentials are available, but this will not provide access. 

2)  When activation is complete

Click "Log In | Register", then "Individual Login | Register" and then enter your email address and password to login and view the relevant content.

Forgotten your password?

If you have already registered on the new platform then please use the email address entered when registering on the site or logging in. You can request a verification code to be sent to this email address if you have forgotten your password. 

Alerts

Please login and click on "Alerts" in the blue bar to sign up to receive email alerts for new issues or articles.


Activate Association of Applied Geochemists (AAG) member access to Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis

Contact the AAG membership office if you do not have an email address registered with your membership.


Activate Edinburgh Geological Society or Geological Society of Glasgow member access to the Scottish Journal of Geology

EGS and GSG members can also access the Transactions of the Edinburgh Geological Society and the Transactions of the Geological Society of Glasgow

Please contact the relevant membership secretary if you do not have an email address registered with your membership.
