08 May 2025 | 18:00 - 20:00 | AtkinsRéalis Glasgow Office, 2 Atlantic Square, York Street, Glasgow G2 8JQ, and online via MS Teams

Join our Central Scotland Regional Group for an evening lecture by Jo Nicholls - Associate Hydrogeologist at AtkinsRéalis.

Following an introduction to groundwater modelling, Jo will discuss what we mean by a 'groundwater model' and consider how groundwater modelling is used in the UK water resources sector.

A number of project examples will be used to demonstrate how groundwater modelling can be used to solve real-world problems, such as the impact of a groundwater abstraction, quantifying groundwater flooding issues, and defining Source Protection Zones.

This is a hybrid lecture, which can be attended in-person at the AtkinsRéalis Glasgow Office or online via MS Teams. The lecture will begin at 6pm, with refreshments for in-person attendees available from 5.30pm.
