Chartership Assessor Event - June 2026

Why Attend? 

This is your chance to come together with fellow Assessors, sharpen your skills, and play a central role in shaping the next generation of Chartered Geologists and Chartered Scientists. Whether you're a seasoned Assessor or considering joining our volunteer community for the first time, this event has something for you.

• Updates and guidance on the latest application review processes 
• Breakout groups focusing on competency standards using real worked examples 
• Cross-disciplinary discussions spanning diverse areas of technical expertise 
• Opportunities to share experiences, swap ideas, and connect with peers

We’d love to welcome you. This event is the ideal opportunity to meet the Assessor community, see the work in action, and get up to speed — all in one day. If you’ve been Chartered for a few years and are ready to give something back to the profession, we encourage you to join us.

This is a free event. Places are limited and exclusively available to Chartered Fellows of The Geological Society of London — whether you are already a registered Chartership Assessor, or are keen to find out more about becoming one. Click on the Book Now button to book your place.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
