Working with a national Housebuilder, Hydrock have undertaken a staged investigation and assessment for a brownfield site in Henley-on -Thames. The ground conditions comprise River Terrace Gravels over Chalk.

The site is within a highly sensitive, world renowned archaeological setting (Neolithic flint tools), was in part a former gravel pit, a Tarmac Works and landfill. Solution features were historically noted in the gravel pit and are present across the site. This Case Study summarises the investigation and mitigation works undertaken and discusses risk in the context of solution features and the changing risk profile as the project progressed.
