Field Trip - Tour of Keymer Heritage Tile works

Keymer Heritage Tiles is one of the oldest established roofing brands in the UK crafting handmade tiles and fittings since 1588. The use of local, rich Wealden clay produces unique warm colours and textures and provides renowned durability.
Now owned by Wienerberger Ltd, the company moved it's operations from Nye Road in Burgess Hill to a new factory complex in Ewhurst, Surrey in 2015.
This trip will be an opportunity to learn about the history of handmade clay tile production, tour the factory and even try your hand at making a Keymer tile.
Start Time: 11am - the tour lasts around 3 hours, including lunch (provided)
Venue/Meeting Point: Ewhurst Visitor Centre, Horsham Road, Wallis Wood, Ockley, Surrey RH5 5QH
Health & Safety: PPE (hard hats etc) will be provided, but please wear sturdy shoes suitable for walking in factory areas.
