The Geological Society's Edinburgh Career and Industry Day is an essential meeting place for geoscience students and the geoscience industry.
The day will include short career and industry presentations covering different areas of geology and academia. There will be an exhibition consisting of industry and professional bodies, and higher education institutions promoting MSc and PhD programmes.
There will also be CV and careers workshops running alongside the talks at the following times:
- 10.45am to 11.15am
- 11.45am to 12.15pm
- 2.00pm to 2.30pm

Registration
This event is free to attend, but delegates will be required to register to receive a student manual, free packed lunch and free drink at the drinks reception.
Numbers are limited for this event, so places will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please complete your online registration by Monday 2 December 2019 to secure your place.

Sponsorship
Become a sponsor and you will receive due acknowledgement, with your company logo displayed on prominent promotional event material. This will be seen by thousands of Earth science undergraduate and postgraduate students in the UK during the period leading up to the events, so the earlier you book, the more publicity you'll receive!
You will also have an opportunity to include a company profile in the student handbook, which will be seen by approximately 350 students on the day. Additionally, you will be allocated an exhibition space in a prime location within the main exhibition hall on the day, so that you can meet face-to-face with delegates.
Exhibition
There are also exhibition-only packages available. These include:
- A 2-metre exhibition space with one 6-foot trestle table, two chairs and access to power
- Refreshments and lunch (two lunches per stand - additional lunches can be purchased)
- Space for pop-up stands and banners
