The presentation will discuss the focus of an application and the requirements of the criteria for both CGeol and CSci and how best to demonstrate fulfilment of these. Particular aspects of an application will be emphasised including;

  • Eligibility to apply versus readiness for Chartership;
  • CPD planning and recording (including expansion to a Career Development Plan);
  • Supporting Documents – What to use and what not to use;
  • The role of Sponsors and their importance;
  • The focus of the application on demonstrating geological/scientific  and professional competency and not on competency to do your job;
  • How to approach the Interview and in particular the requirements of the introductory presentation
Time will be left for questions on either general or specific aspects of the application procedures.
