Registration is open on the CL:AIRE website

The Environment Agency, Geological Society SWRG and the SW Contaminated Land Forum have come together with CL:AIRE to run a workshop on Soils and Materials Re-use and Recovery, a very current topic of interest.

The event will take place on 5 July 2017 July at the Kenn Centre near Exeter and will be of interest to environmental consultants, regulators, developers and waste operators. This event will cover landfill developments, asbestos in soils guidance, DoWCoP and innovative soils treatment methods.

Confirmed speakers include

  • Jonathan Atkinson from the EA (RGN 13 and Recovery Permits)
  • Stephen Foster Remedia Group, on behalf of JIWG/CL:AIRE (Asbestos in soils; CAR and more)
  • Simon Talbot GGS (Gas management for Developing on or near landfills)
  •  Dr Geoffrey Card GB Card and Partners (Re-developing landfills Pitfalls and Potentials)
  • Nick Willenbrock CL:AIRE (Updates DoWCoP vs 3)
  • and representatives from the SW Contaminated Land Forum will be presenting on the new ‘Arsenic Protocol - How to assess natural contamination risks’.

Registration is open on the CL:AIRE website along with the draft programme.

The cost is £30 for private sector and £20 for Local Authority or Environment Agency employees (ex VAT).
