50 Years of Plate Tectonics - The Archive of Dan McKenzie

The current physical exhibition in the Society showcases a selection of items from the Library's most recent archive acquisition — the papers of the British geologist Dan McKenzie (b.1942). McKenzie has had a long and distinguished scientific career, but first came to prominence as one of the proponents of the theory we now know as Plate Tectonics.

Providing context to a number of the exhibits are extracts from recent interviews with McKenzie which can be accessed below.  The exhibition runs from 6 October 2017-12 January 2018.
