''Celebrating the Geology of Namibia''
The Geological Society of Namibia will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019. We herewith invite our colleagues in Namibia and around the world to join us for a celebratory conference with papers on Namibian Geology in Sept 2019.

Field excursion (planned)
All excursions are limited to 20 participants;
#3 can accommodate 12 people only.
Seats will be allocated on a first-come/ first-serve basis, so please register EARLY!
Final excursion costs will likely range from N$ 2500 – 3500 per person per day.
Pre-conference field excursions
#1 Economic geology of western Namibia (four days: 29 Aug – 01 Sept 2019).
#2 Southern Namibia geology, stratigraphy & fossils (five days: 28 Aug – 01 Sept 2019).
#3 Fluvial and marine diamond deposits, southern Namibia (eight days: 25 Aug – 01 Sept 2019) - Limited to 12 participants only!
Post-conference field excursions
#4 Special excursion: Damara Orogen (seven days: 05 – 11 Sept 2019; camping).
#5 Gondwana to post-Gondwana geology of NW Namibia (seven days: 05 – 11 Sept 2019; camping).
#6 Carbonatite and alkaline volcanic complexes in north-central Namibia (six days: 05 – 10 Sept 2019).
#7 Economic geology of north-central Namibia (five days: 05 – 09 Sept 2019).

Call for papers
We invite you to submit a paper of your choice with the qualification that it must relate to the Geology, Mineral Deposits, or Geophysics of Namibia.
Keynote presentations will be 40+10 minutes. Normal talks will be 20+5 minutes.
Posters and exhibition booths are welcome. Posters and booths will be easily accessible during the whole conference.
