Coronavirus and our events

In light of the ongoing coronavirus situation and advice from the UK Government, the Society’s offices in London and Bath remain closed. This closure includes the Library and meeting spaces located in Burlington House. Our offices will remain closed until at least 31 August 2020.

All GSL events and venue hire bookings through to the end of August have been postponed or cancelled in line with Government advice. Our conference team have been contacting clients directly to notify them and those registered. If you have any urgent queries, please direct them to There will be a delay on processing refunds until we are back in the office.

We are currently assessing events due to take place in September and will provide updates as soon as they are available. Please note that this is a quickly moving situation, and we may need to reduce capacity, postpone or cancel further events at short notice if Government guidance or regulations change. We ask for your cooperation in helping to share this message with attendees.

We are unable to hire out any of our spaces until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience – we hope to return to hosting physical and hybrid events as soon as it has been deemed safe to do so and we have additional safety measures in place to facilitate this. We will be communicating those measures here in due course.
