£95 to attend on Saturday 29 September, 9:00 – 14:15.

This includes four lectures.

The main theme of this years conference will be geology in an urban environment, but there will also be a focus on supporting new topics and assessment procedures in the Eduqas and OCR A-level specifications. 

On Friday afternoon there will be a guided tour of the GSL to include William Smith's Map (The Map that Changed the World), urban geology walks with Ruth Siddall of University College, a world expert on building stones (See http://londonpavementgeology.co.uk) and of course sessions with Eduqas and OCR teams. 

Professor Nick Rogers, President of the GSL will welcome us before supper and later on Dr Jackie Skipper of the Geotechnical Consulting Group will give the keynote lecture on 'Geology and the Crossrail and Thames Tideway Projects'. 

On Saturday morning, there will be a choice of lectures and workshops at Burlington House, home of the GSL. 

Professor David Siveter has made time in a very busy schedule to talk about his lagerstatten work and Saturday afternoon must of course feature Chris King's ever popular "Bring and Share" Session. 

Saturday evening there will be the conference dinner and on Sunday there is an option of field visits to join.
