EVENT CLOSED
Please note that the NWRG has decided to postpone this event due to the risk posed by COVID-19.
As part of Geoweek 2020, which seeks to provide events to interest the general public in the natural geological environment, join the North West Regional Group for this short, guided walk around Knutsford’s streets to discover how ancient deserts, mountains ranges, huge rivers, tropical seas, fossils, volcanoes and glaciers formed some of the building stones and cobbles in the town.
The walk is entirely on public paths and access areas, though some footpaths are very narrow and have steps.
Please meet in the car park in front of the Courthouse at 2.00pm for a 2.15pm start. The finish time is anticipated to be 4.15pm.
