Events & Courses

In collaboration with the Mineralogical Society of Great Britain and Ireland, the Metamorphic Studies Group will host their first ever virtual event. 

The Research in Progress Meeting will be held virtually over two afternoon sessions on 27 and 28 May 2020, along with an online poster session.

Meeting format

Poster session

There will be a virtual poster session (accessible only to registered persons) hosted on the Mineralogical Society website from ~25 May 2020. Participants will be able to log on and view the MSG RiP posters.

Participants will be able to leave comments for poster authors on the site. There will then be a live virtual poster discussion session as part of the main MSG RiP, where participants can ask questions to poster authors.

Live virtual talk sessions

There will also be live virtual talk sessions hosted on the GoToMeeting platform over two afternoon sessions (see timetable). Presenters will have 15-minute slots to virtually present a presentation and take typed questions from the audience (moderated by the session convenor).
