The Energy Group is pleased to announce bookings for this year’s Annual Dinner are now open.

This year the Energy Group Annual Dinner will take place on 17 May, coinciding with the Energy Geoscience Conference in Aberdeen at P&J Live.

For many, the Petroleum Group annual dinner and awards evening was the highlight of the professional-social calendar. We aim to replicate this success for the broader Energy Group in a way that retains the nature of the original format but is inclusive to the full energy geoscience spectrum. The fundamental goal of the evening is to provide a high calibre social event that celebrates the geosciences within the energy industry and provides networking opportunities between the established and emerging sectors of our business. The evening will include the presentation of the Energy Group awards for two categories, Energy Group Medal Award and Early Career Energy Geoscientist Award.

Subject to change the evening will encompass;

6:30pm - 7:30pm: Drinks Reception
7:30: Call to enter main hall
7:45: Introduction by the Chair of the Energy Group (including a presentation from a keynote speaker)
8:15pm: Dinner to be served
9:45pm: Presentation of Awards
10:15: Dessert to be served
11:00pm: Finish

Ballot entry

The organising committee are aware individuals may also want to attend so are hoping to offer a ballot entry. This would allow individuals to register their interest, if selected to pay a significantly reduced ticket price. We anticipate a large amount of interest and with limited availability, therefore the ballot entry will be selected at random. This opportunity is at the discretion of the organising committee and maybe withdrawn.
