Join the Sustainable Earth Institute at the University of Plymouth for a one-day virtual conference to examine the relationships between geological based energy resources, or ‘geoenergy’, and society.

Explore, through a variety of disciplinary perspectives, how people view and engage with different geoenergies (including but not limited to, geothermal power, carbon capture storage, oil and gas extraction) and what the future might look like. The webinar will offer new insights by bringing together academic research and practitioner experience bridging geoscience, sociology, psychology, media and communications, and politics.

The conference will be addressing questions such as:

  • How do we see, think and feel about geoenergies?
  • How do we imagine the future of geoenergy?
  • How could this future shape energy production and consumption?
