Geological magazineGeological magazine is one of the oldest and best-known periodicals in the Earth Sciences. It publishes original papers, review articles, rapid communications and discussions about all aspects of the geosciences. It covers petrology, geochemistry, palaeontology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, geophysics, and geomorphology, and it includes contributions on volcanology, marine geology, glaciology, palaeoclimatology, palaeoceanography, geochronology, biostratigraphy, geohazards and Earth history.

Journal of paleontologyJournal of paleontology is produced by the Paleontological Society. It publishes original articles and notes on the systematics, phylogeny, paleoecology, paleogeography, and evolution of fossil organisms. It emphasizes specimen-based research and features high quality illustrations. All taxonomic groups are treated, including invertebrates, microfossils, plants, vertebrates, and ichnofossils.

PaleobiologyPaleobiology is produced by the Paleontological Society. It publishes papers dealing with any aspect of biological paleontology. Emphasis is placed on biological or paleobiological processes and patterns, including macroevolution, extinction, diversification, speciation, functional morphology, bio-geography, phylogeny, paleoecology, molecular paleontology, taphonomy, natural selection and patterns of variation, abundance, and distribution in space and time.

TectonicsTectonics is a monthly journal published by the AGU with editorial collaboration from the European Geosciences Union. It presents original scientific contributions that describe and explain the evolution, structure, and deformation of Earth's lithosphere. There are papers on field, laboratory, petrological, geochemical, geochronological, geophysical, remote-sensing, and modeling studies.

GSL publications on the Lyell Collection

Fellows who subscribe to the Journal of the Geological Society, Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology, Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis or Petroleum Geoscience have online access to the relevant journal via the Lyell Collection.

Fellows also have online access to Special Publications, Engineering Geology Special Publications and Memoirs published more than three years ago, the Petroleum Geology Conference series (numbers 4, 5 and 6) and all issues of the Transactions of the Geological Society of London.

Usernames and passwords have been allocated to Fellows of the Society. For a reminder of your login details for the Lyell Collection, email Membership or go to the Lyell Collection's "Forgotten username or password" page. Athens authentication is not currently available for the Lyell Collection.
