Supplementary Data
Information on Supplementary data related to papers in Geological Society of London books and journals
Limited space in the paper publications means that detailed material, such as locality lists and analytical data, will be made available as online Supplementary Publications.
These files are hosted on the Society's website. Acceptable formats for the online repository are .rtf, .csv, .pdf and .gif. Authors are encouraged to provide analytical data in comma delimited format to allow reanalysis. Maximum size is 20MB per paper. Please provide these files with the final version of your paper.
The Supplementary files must be self-contained and should include captions and/or legends and any references. References that are only cited within the supplementary files must not be included in the main reference list of the paper.
You should not refer to individual tables or figures from the Supplementary Publication in the main paper – the main paper must be intelligible without reference to the Supplementary Publication.
You must include a statement between the abstract and the start of the main text in the form:
Supplementary material: [description of material] is available at www.geolsoc.org.uk/SUP00000.
The number will be allocated by the Staff/Production Editor.

A print out can be obtained from the Society’s Library for a fee. Older Supplementary Publications are also available from the British Library (details are printed in the parent paper).
