Access for Fellows
Fellows of the Geological Society of London enjoy a range of access benefits by virtue of their membership of the Society such as:
All Fellows are entitled to full access of one free Society journal as part of their package of benefits.
Additionally, all Fellows receive free access to the online versions of the Transactions of the Geological Society of London (published 1811-1856).
Fellows can also choose to subscribe to additional Society journals. For 2011, online access is just £35 a year per journal, or online access and print copies is £45 a year per journal. Please contact the Membership Department to add or amend membership journals.

In addition to their journal entitlement, Fellows receive completely free access to the Society’s online "Book Archive" with further series and titles to be added as the Lyell Collection develops.
The Book Archive gives Fellows access to GSL books (Special Publications, Memoirs and Engineering Geology Special Publications) published prior to the current or three previous calendar years without restriction and, once again, all references are actively linked through to the source of cited material. Fellows also receive access to volumes 4, 5 and 6 of the PGC series and, from January 2013, volume 7.
Fellows can subscribe to the Full Book Collection for a modest annual subscription, which extends electronic access to GSL book titles, from the date of publication.
Online first
Fellows do not have access to the full text of Online First articles unless they are subscribers to the Full Book Collection. They can, however, view the list of Online First articles available, sign up for email alerts when new articles are posted, and purchase individual articles on a pay-per-view basis. Fellows who are Full Book Collection subscribers can view the full text of each article, as well as the online version of the complete volume once published.
The Petroleum Geology Conference series is not included in an FBC subscription as they are not published by GSL. No journal content is included with a Full Book Collection subscription.

Pay-per-view access
Fellows requiring access to content to which they do not subscribe can still access articles by selecting the pay-per-view option, which is available for all Lyell Collection content.
