Lyell Centre - Virtual Library

The Lyell Centre - Virtual Library aims to enhance access to information resources for the geological community by providing an access point for internet resources selected by the Library staff. The Bicentennial Projects (sponsored by BP and Shell) to digitize the Geological Society's publications (the Lyell Collection), expand the Library's online catalogue to include older material, create a GIS system to identify maps held by the Library, and establish the Lyell Room where readers may use their laptops, facilitates this aim.
