Golden Rum - An Arthur Holmes Field Meeting

Field visits will be a large component of the meeting, but there will also be a day of conference talks.

Key themes to be addressed, both in the field and in the conference centre, include:

• New work in the North Atlantic Palaeogene Igneous Province
• Development of layered intrusions 
• Magmatism in flood basalt provinces; textural analysis of igneous rocks 
• Processes of magma formation and transport in the crust

The cost of the meeting will be approximately £500 (a reduced cost is available for students): this includes registration, accommodation, most meals, and transport in the field.
