Standing Committees

Reporting to Council are six standing committees with delegated responsibility for particular areas of the Society's activities. These are:

• External Relations Committee
• Information Management Committee
• Management and Finance Committee
• Professional Committee
• Publications Management Committee
• Science Committee

Each Committee (except the Information Management Committee, which is chaired by a member of Council) is chaired by an Honorary Secretary for a term of three years. Reporting to Council through these committees are various sub-committees with special functions, some temporary, some permanent (e.g., the Corporate Affiliates Committee, which reports through the Management and Finance Committee, and the Library Advisory Committee, which reports through the Information Management Committee).

Also reporting to Council is the Elections Committee.
