Coastal Erosion in Norfolk

Science writer and broadcaster Richard Hollingham visits the north Norfolk coast and meets Dr Sophie Nicolson-Cole to find out how research from the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change could benefit anyone living in a vulnerable coastal region.

More than a quarter of the world's population - around 1.5 billion people - live in coastal regions. With sea levels rising and extreme weather and erosion set to intensify, these regions are increasingly exposed.

Finding out how the coasts will change this century is a priority for scientists.

The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change is leading efforts to understand how the north coast of Norfolk will change. This region is especially susceptible to environmental change, as Richard discovers.
