Access for Fellows

Fellows of the Geological Society of London will enjoy a range of access benefits by virtue of their membership of the Society such as:

Journals

All Fellows are entitled to full access of one free journal as part of their package of benefits. Additionally, all Fellows will receive free access to the online versions of the Transactions of the Geological Society of London (published 1811-1856).

Fellows can also choose to subscribe to addtitional journals. For 2010, online only access is just £35 a year per journal, and online and print access is £45 a year per journal.

Special Publications and books

In addition to their journal entitlement, Fellows receive completely free access to the Society’s online "Book Archive" with further series and titles to be added as the Lyell Collection develops. 

The Book Archive gives Fellows access to all books and Special Publications published prior to the current or three previous calendar years without restriction and, once again, all references are actively linked through to the source of cited material.

Fellows can subscribe to the Full Book Collection for a modest subscription fee of £55 for 2010, which extends electronic access to all book titles, from the time of publication. Print copies are not included in the Full Book Collection.

Pay-per-view access

Fellows requiring access to content to which they do not subscribe can still access articles by selecting the pay-per-view option, which is available for all Lyell Collection content.
