Access for Fellows
Fellows of the Geological Society of London enjoy a range of access benefits by virtue of their membership of the Society such as:
All Fellows are entitled to full access of one free Society journal as part of their package of benefits.
Additionally, all Fellows receive free access to the online versions of the Transactions of the Geological Society of London (published 1811-1856).
Fellows can also choose to subscribe to additional Society journals. For 2011, online access is just £35 a year per journal, or online access and print copies is £45 a year per journal. Please contact the Membership Department to add or amend membership journals.
The Society journals available on the Lyell Collection:
In addition to their journal entitlement, Fellows receive completely free access to the Society’s online "Book Archive" with further series and titles to be added as the Lyell Collection develops.
The Book Archive gives Fellows access to all books (Special Publications, Memoirs and Engineering Geology Special Publications) published prior to the current or three previous calendar years without restriction and, once again, all references are actively linked through to the source of cited material.
Fellows can subscribe to the Full Book Collection for a modest subscription fee of £55 for 2010, which extends electronic access to all book titles, from the date of publication. (No journal content is included with a Full Book Collection subscription).
