Nic Bilham (Head of Strategy and External Relations)
Nic works with Council and Management Team colleagues to coordinate strategy and business planning. He is also responsible for public policy matters and government relations, and is secretary to the External Relations Committee and Budget and Programme Committee.
Sarah Day (Earth Science Communicator)
Sarah is responsible for media enquiries, writing and promulgating media releases, and a variety of other communications activities including the website podcasts and contributing content to Geoscientist. She also assists with the Society's policy related statements including responses to government consultations.
Judi Lakin and Joanna Mears (Education & Training Officers)
Reporting to the Education Committee, the main responsibilities covered by Judi and Jo are: primary and secondary education, university education and lifelong learning, Friends of the Geological Society scheme, Schools Affiliate scheme, education webpages and online resources
Ted Nield (Editor, Geoscientist & Geoscientist Online)
Ted is editor of Geoscientist, the monthly members' magazine of the Society. He is also
Obituaries Editor (including management of the Society's 'living obituary' deposit scheme), and editor of the Annual Report.
