London Walks

Overview

As part of the Society’s Bicentennial celebrations, Dr. Eric Robinson led four guided “geological” walks through two seperate locations:
  • The streets of Mayfair. Title: The White Cliffs of Dover Street.
  • Kensal Green Cemetery. Title: To Paradise by way of Kensal Green.

The focus of the walk was to look at the two distinct ‘geologies’ (topography and construction material) of the surrounding area.

To Paradise by way of Kensal Green

The walks were held on:
This walk took in the land geology and rock geology of the gravestones and memorials which has been erected in the last 175 years.
