VLE – Virtual Learning Environment W3C World Wide Web Consortium: a global industry consortium run jointly by the Laboratory for Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of technology and INRIA in France. It exists to develop common standards for the evolution of the World Wide Web. JISC have joined W3C.
