Use of Library by Non-Fellows

Standard rate: £25 per day: £15 per half day (after 1pm)
Unemployed / Retired Rate: £10 per day
Student Rate: £10.00 per day

Photocopying charges

Self Service (Copy Cards)

Fellows:

• 20 units: £3.00
• 50 units: £7.00
• 100 units: £13.00

Non-Fellows

• 20 units: £4.50
  
• 50 units: £10.00
  
• 100 units: £17.00

Unit charges are as follows:
Black & White: A4 – 1 Unit; A3 – 2 Units
Colour: A4 – 5 Units; A3 – 10 Units

USB ‘Memory Sticks’ £10 (incl. VAT)

Fellows:

• A4 (b/w): 20p
• A3 (b/w): 30p
• A4 (colour): 75p
• A3 (colour): £1.25

Non-Fellows:

• A3 (colour): £2.00

Postage and packing or fax transmission charges (see scale of charges below) and VAT will be added to the total cost.  For Non-Fellows, there is a minimum order charge of £10.00 + VAT.

Copies for Commercial Research (Copyright Fee)

Additional charge of £7.66 +VAT (i.e. £9.00 inclusive) per request.
 

Priority service (Same day service)

Requests received before 15.00: £10.00 per request plus the standard photocopying and postage (Special Delivery charge + £1.00) or fax charges.

Requests received after 15.00: £25.00 per request plus the standard photocopying and postage or fax charges

Double-sided copies

Charged as 2 copies

Overhead projection slide

40p per sheet + copying charge (see above).
 

Fax transmission

Fellows:

• Inland: £2.50 cover charge + 50p per page
• Overseas: £2.50 cover charge + £1.00 per page

Non-Fellows:

• Inland: £3.50 cover charge + 50p per page
• Overseas: £3.50 cover charge + £1.00 per page

Up to 30 pages will be transmitted by fax. VAT will be added to the total cost.

Copies of obituaries

£5 +VAT by e-mail; £6 +VAT by post (UK); £7 by post (overseas)
 

Literature searches

Search fee for searches undertaken by library staff:

• Up to 30 minutes search time: free
• For subsequent half hour or part: £10.00 + VAT
• Printout: 15p per page (Postage and packing or fax transmission charges(see separate scale of charges) and VAT will be added to the total cost. Disks are charged at the minimum postage rate.)
• Search results downloaded to disk or e-mailed: £5.00
• Disks purchased by library users for downloading personal searches: £1.00

Delivery costs are additional to the search fee.

Priority Service available for same day searches (for charges see under Photocopying)
 

Postal loans

£1.00 handling charge + cost of Special Delivery (or Airsure + additional insurance fee to the Republic of Ireland)
 

Inter-library loans

• Photocopy from British Library : £9.50 (£10.75 Overseas Rate)
• Copy sent by secure e-delivery: £8.50 (£10.00 Overseas Rate)
• Book loan from British Library: £13.00 *
• Photocopy / Loan from other libraries: Surcharge applies if cost exceeds BL charge *
• Worldwide search photocopy from BL : £52.00
• Worldwide search loan from BL : £55.50 *
• Worldwide search fee for unsatisfied request: £20.00
• Urgent Action photocopy from BL
  • Electronic: £26.00 (2 hour service); £17.00 (24 hour service)
  • By Fax: £28.00 (2 hour service); £19.00 (24 hour service)
• Urgent Action loan from BL : £32.00 (2 hour service); £23.50 (24 hour service)
• Thesis purchase / loan : Price quoted on application

VAT (& Copyright fees if applicable) will be added, according to standard library charging policy

* Cost of return postage to the lending library will be added to the charge if applicable
