Offsite access to selected journals using Athens passwords.

The Geological Society Library has arranged offsite online access to over 30 Elsevier journals for Fellows of the Society starting with issues published in 2004. Contact the Serials Librarian for further details or download and send an Athens User Account Application Form to the Library. A list of e-journals accessible via Athens passwords is now available.

Two more e-journals - Journal of systematic palaeontology & Earth and environmental science transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburgh

Athens passwords can now also be used for offsite access to Earth and environmental science transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburgh from vol.92(2001) onwards, and all issues of Journal of systematic palaeontology.

Another two e-journals - Geotechnique & Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers: Geotechnical engineering

Athens passwords can now also be used for offsite access to Geotechnique from vol.51(2001) onwards, and Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers: Geotechnical engineering from vol.149(2001) onwards.

 

This service is for Fellows only and is not available to Corporate Affiliates.

Fellows  who receive  the Journal of the Geological Society  or  Quarterly  Journal of Engineering  Geology and Hydrogeology have online access to the relevant journal via the Lyell Collection.

Fellows also have online access to Special Publications, Engineering Geology Special Publications and Memoirs published more than three years ago.

Usernames and passwords have been allocated to Fellows of the Society. E-mail Membership if you don't know or have forgotten them, or go to the Lyell Collection's  "Forgotten username or password" page. Athens authentication is not currently available for the Lyell Collection.
