Structural Geology Conference

Structural geology is a key subsurface element that must be integrated into all stages of the Exploration and Production lifecycle in order to successfully generate value. To fully exploit the potential of traditional and evolving modern structural techniques, both specialists and generalists require a grasp of diverse theories, methods and data analysis tools which are in a state of constant flux.

We invite contributions covering all practical aspects of structural geology with application to the petroleum industry, including: mapping and fault validation; fault seal, trapping and compartmentalisation; regional geology, including restorations and plate-scale reconstructions; risk, uncertainty and volumetric assessment; geomechanics, fracture prediction and (HPHT) production behaviour; carbon storage; application of analogues; salt tectonics; data collection, synthesis and integration.

This three-day conference aims to explore through a mixture of presentations, discussions and workshops, the rich legacy of structural geology which forms the foundation for current best practice in industry. A key aim is to define future trends and developments through better collaboration.
