Awards

Each year The Petroleum Group makes awards in recognition of achievements and talent of individuals within the hydrocarbon sector.

These prestigous medals are awarded at the Petroleum Group's Annual Dinner, which is one of the most well attended events of the Petroleum geology calendar.

Petroleum Group Silver Medal

This award is presented to individuals with a geoscience background who have made outstanding contributions to the Petroleum Industry. It can be awarded for excellence in Petroleum geoscience and/or management of oilfinding activities.

Young Explorers Medal

To recognise young talent, the future of our industry, the Petroleum Group awards this medal to under 35's that have made a significant contribution to the discovery of hydrocarbons or an emerging talent who is making a significant impact on production.
